That's a fantastic thing. Happiness is far more important than money and anything else in life. You learn to live within your means and means do not matter where happiness is concerned, all told.

I think we need a picture of the DMs ;-)

Haha ... you see, I am full of inner-conflict. On the one hand I openly love these shows, but there's a little part of me deep inside which is screaming at the vampire-loving me demanding I stop with all the shenannigans of being so damn fashionable!

For me, the demons and vampires in Buffy were simply an enjoyable romp in an otherwise good show about what it was like to be a teenager growing up at a certain time in the States! Much like Glee now :-).

I've never read any Anne Rice (mostly because I don't like Tom Cruise, which is a daft reason not to read her novels!) Maybe I should give them a go.

Never got Buffy. Never really got into True Blood, or any of the other stuff either (L is into Being Human. Yawn).

I think with me it's more about not subscribing to the 'fashion' of the moment. I'm a rebel without a cause ;-)

I've found that I have absolutely no interest in the fashionable vampire-themed TV shows and books of today - but I think this might be because Buffy started when I was 14/15. I watched every episode and loved it to bits. I also read many Anne Rice novels (have you read them?), so I did the vampire thing to death (sorry) as a teenager, and to get back into all of that again now would feel like overkill (sorry again).

Saying that, I don't think it was the fact that there were vampires in it that made me like Buffy - it was more to do with the dialogue and characters. And I only got into it all anyway because of one of my friends, who very much loved vampires and all things supernatural and gothic. I also don't tend to like fantasy unless it's grounded in reality in some way, so that there's something I can relate to. But perhaps I should throw that aside and embrace the new breed of vampires (especially if delectable men are involved).

However, I do love a good musical. I've found that when a non-musical TV series does a musical episode, it's just the best (especially the Buffy one).

Sorry for the long winded-comment. :)

It sounds like a good challenge to me. I've never worked in FE, but I remember thinking that 6th formers were always baffling - no change in attitude from the compulsory days but they were choosing to do their ALevels. Weird, very weird.

I hope it's continuing to go well!

I know how you feel (a little bit, at least) because my job has recently become part-time too, and I also feel strange for not being at work when I should be (even though I shouldn't be).

I hope you settle into your new job soon, and that you do like it. :)

I said this on FB, but sincere congrats. Sometimes I think potential employers respect the upfront honesty and openness more than any of the bullsh*t that people try and spin them.

Clearly they saw what we've all been seeing too. You rock; and you deserve to start believing in yourself Missus!

I'm so pleased for you, I really, really am. :-)

It's wonderful that you were able to find a job that you want to do so easily! You must have really impressed them at the interview!

Congratulations! :-D
